Wednesday on the Wharf
Summer is Calling:
The 2026 WOW Concert Lineup is Here!
The Salmon Arm Arts Centre is excited to welcome you back to Marine Peace Park for another unforgettable season of Wednesday on the Wharf! For more than 30 years, WOW has been bringing the community together for an all-ages, by-donation evening of music. Running every Wednesday evening through July and August, our 2026 lineup brings a spectacular blend of familiar favorites, fresh international rhythms, and beloved community collaborations. We are privileged to joyfully gather on the unceded territory of the Secwépemc peoples, and extend our gratitude to our host nation for stewarding these lands so that we may enjoy its beauty.
Check out the full summer schedule, pack your blankets and lawn chairs, and we'll see you at the gazebo! And… if it looks like rain on concert day, check online, as the concert may get moved to the Art Gallery.
WOW will kick off on July 1st, with a celebration of Salmon Arm talent: The first set of the jam-packed triple-bill will feature the 45+ members of the Salmon Arm Community Band led by conductors Sydney Griffith and Jim Johnston, as well as Shuswap Music Festival award-winning string musician Leila Sui, vocalist Esther Langridge, and pianist Nico Glanville. After donation collection at intermission, audience favorites Birchbark will grace the stage with a folk-celtic setlist that will get toes tapping and toddlers twirling.
Country music fans will want to mark July 8th on their calendars, as award-winning recording artist Mike Gouchie and the Classics share their songs shaped by hard lessons and hopeful dreams with the crowd. July 15th will be a Pinoy celebration, as the Filipino-Canadian indie-rock group The Gelo Granados Band plays the WOW stage in both English and Tagalog. Everyone is invited back to the Art Gallery following the concert for a Karaoke After Party featuring Filipino snacks and a chance to meet the band.
Music magic returns on July 22nd with another spectacular ROOTSandBLUES Festival collaboration! The Shuswap Pipes N Drums will give a rousing start to the evening in the way that only bagpipes can, followed by Canadian Music Award-winning, Winnipeg-based roots/folk band Leaf Rapids, who will bring their sweet and smokey harmonies and luscious guitar licks to the Shuswap. The Okanagan’s own Kailee Duggan will then bring her blend of soulful pop to the stage on July 29th, rounding out the first month of the series.
Igniting our August lineup on August 5th is the carnivalesque energy of Blackberry Wood, whose raucous blend of alt-ska, country, and circus tunes will have audiences clapping well past sundown. Not to be outdone, Midnight Boogaloo will bring their Latin fusion of cumbia, salsa, bugaloo and jazz with a rock and roll edge to the gazebo on August 12th. The music will shift gears towards sensual and juicy soft-pop when French-Canadian artist Elodie Orsei takes the spotlight on August 12th, offering the perfect blend of warmth, groove, and je ne sais quoi.
The series will close with an Indigenous Celebration on August 26th, with a special early start time of 6pm. Curated by Kenthen Thomas, this event will feature the singing, drumming, and dancing talents of the Kamloops-based Sage Hill Singers, as well as a free community meal courtesy of Rise Up Indigenous Wellness.
As always, audiences can bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics down to the park, and know there will be plenty of room for dancing. Donations collected at intermission support the concert series, all of which would not be possible without the support of WOW’s incredible sponsors.
