Calls for Expressions of Interest
For thematic group exhibitions, we invite artists to submit an idea for artwork that speaks to the given theme. Guidelines and instructions for submission will appear here when they are available.
Community Participation
Here are the current projects that artists of all levels and mediums can contribute to:
1. The Tangled Garden
Artists are invited to participate in the next members’ exhibition, June 20 to August 29, 2026. It addresses rewilding our yards and public spaces. We are asking artists to work in a square format only, any size, and up to three artworks per artist can be submitted.
The materials used must be biodegradable - here are some ideas:
Register at the Art Gallery, or by email to info@salmonarmartscentre.ca. This is a great time to become a member so you don’t miss out!
2. The Tangled Garden Exhibition Title Wall
We’re inviting community members to help create the exhibition’s title wall—a collaborative, collage-style artwork made up of individually designed letters. Each participant will design and install one letter, contributing to the first thing visitors see when they enter the gallery.
Dates: June 16–17
Time slots: 30 minutes (11am–7pm)
Letter size: 8” x 6.5” (uppercase)
Materials: Biodegradable only
Format: Work directly on the wall or mount your letter
Participants will be assigned a letter after registering (tell us if you have a preference) by emailing curator@salmonarmartscentre.ca. The curator will follow up to confirm details and support your concept.
