ShuGo

See the opera!  See a play!  See it for $5!

ShuGo is a ticket-subsidy program to encourage youth aged 12 to 21 to attend live arts and cultural events in the Shuswap, and to help live-arts groups build their young audience. The Arts Council sells ShuGo tickets for $5 to youth aged 12 to 21. The youth themselves must purchase their own tickets.  Up to four tickets can be purchased at a time by one individual. A maximum of six tickets per year can be sold to one youth.

The ticket-holder must then make their reservation using the information provided on the ticket, stating they have a ShuGo ticket.  Participating theatres/groups may have a maximum number of reservations per show for ShuGo tickets. The ticket-holder will present their ticket to front of house upon arrival at the event.

Participating groups:

Caravan Farm Theatre

Runaway Moon Theatre

Shuswap Theatre

Northern Lights Chamber Choir

Salmar Community Association (Live in HD: The Met and Bolshoi Ballet)

Kelowna Ballet (Salmon Arm performances)

Kamloops Symphony (Salmon Arm concerts)

Watch the “Participate” events listing for ShuGo participants, or follow us on Facebook “ShuGo Tickets.”  This program is designed to encourage youth to invest their own time and money to attend live arts events. The Arts Council reimburses each group for the full ticket price of their event.
