November 18 to December 16 Salmon Arm Art Gallery presents True North. A juried exhibition on the theme of winter. For the final exhibition of the Canada 150 year, the Art Gallery wanted to celebrate every Canadian’s ability to face winter to see the beauty, wonder and brilliance of the season. This exhibition is sponsored by Hudson Dental and Team Linda Rohlfs.

Thursday, December 14  Take your coffee break at the Salmon Arm Art Gallery and view the exhibition True North while you enjoy an organic coffee and fresh baked cookie 2-4pm. Sample all 9 contenders in the campaign to designate a national cookie for Canada. Bags of the full selection of contenders will available for a donation of $7 or more. A walkabout will feature many of the exhibiting artists.

Sunday, January 14  Shuswap Theatre presents a Shed Party. Like an east coast Kitchen Party, this fun afternoon will be held at the Theatre beginning at 2:00pm. Peter Blacklock will emcee the event where everyone is invited to bring an instrument or your voice and sing along. Admission is by donation and all proceeds will go to the Comfy Bottoms Project.

Friday, January 19  Salmon Arm Art Gallery presents the opening reception of 18, an open exhibition of 2D and 3D works that measure 18 inches in any direction. Enjoy live music and refreshments from 7pm to 9pm. Admission is by donation. This exhibition is sponsored by the Stacer Team, and will run until February 24.

Saturday, January 27  In support of LASS Unplug and Play week, families can join in at the Art Gallery to design and make your own journal. 11am to 3pm. Suitable for families with children aged 2 to 12.
